Catherine M. Raso, Carol Gabanna and Michael Conduff have been partners of OnTarget Governance Consulting since 1996, when they organized the first Annual International Policy Governance® Symposium in Prince Edward Island. This year marked the 9th Annual Symposium at which professionals from around the world met and learned from each other, in a highly interactive and challenging learning environment.

The partners met in 1995 when they were at the first ever Policy Governance Academy^SM in Atlanta, Georgia. They spent one week being trained personally by Dr. John Carver in the theory and implementation of the principles of the Policy Governance model. They are charter graduates of Dr. John Carver's Policy Governance Academy.

Together, the partners of OnTarget Governance represent decades of experience in the governance and management of the non-profit and public sectors. Their keen interest and incredible working knowledge of Policy Governance make them top-rate facilitators for implementation of the principles of Policy Governance.

They are co-authors of The OnTarget Board Member: 8 Indisputable Behaviors (Elim Publishing, 2007), the first ever fictionalized story that teaches the practice of good governance using the principles of Policy Governance and the 8 Indisputable Behaviors of high performance boards.

They are co-authors, along with five others, of The Policy Governance Fieldbook" (Jossey-Bass, 1999) which provides real-life and practical analyses and guidelines for implementing the principles of Policy Governance.

Dr. John Carver describes the co-authors of The Policy Governance Fieldbook as "…expert in discerning the nuances of Policy Governance…".

Mike Conduff is President and CEO of The Elim Group - Your Governance Experts. Mike is a master of motivation. A seasoned consultant and noted author, his three decades as an employee, supervisor, CEO, speaker and consultant provide a unique background of learning experiences that he enthusiastically shares. Mike practices what he preaches and serves on a number of boards himself. He says, "In my experience, people who give of their time and energy to serve on a Board are unbelievably caring individuals doing their absolute best to make a difference. My passion is to provide the leadership and training to give them the tools and insights they need to be successful."

Carol Gabanna is a consultant with HRA, a human resource consulting firm in Atlantic Canada. Carol is a gifted facilitator and presenter. Her work is focused on developing people in organizations-board members, managers, staff. She brings to her clients her experience as an employee, manager, CEO, board member and consultant. Carol's passion is for learning and how people learn. She says, "The job of the board is critical, the board members' time is precious. There is wisdom in ordinary people and what fuels my passion is finding ways to draw out and connect with that wisdom, especially in all of those ordinary, but special people who sit on boards."

Catherine Raso MBA is President of CMR Governance Consulting and is an internationally recognized practitioner, consultant, author and speaker on board governance. Catherine has more than two decades of experience in the non-profit sector-as a CEO, having served on boards and also as a highly skilled facilitator consulting with boards around the world. Catherine lives and bases her practice near Toronto, Canada in Hamilton, Ontario.
